I made this illustration for a poem by a famous Hungarian poet, Zoltán Zelk.

I have selected two elements from the poem for the illustration. The parrot itself, and the detail "all day long he just shouts". For the macaw parrot, I made several sketches, because I wanted to capture it with minimal reduction. I felt it was an exciting challenge to solve the contrast of the background and foreground.
